Consumer Rights / Breach of Contract

We all enter into contracts all of the time, sometimes without even realising that we are doing so.  Often it’s only when something goes wrong that people play close attention to what was agreed.

You may have had building work completed poorly or purchased something that didn’t work as advertised.  It can sometimes feel like there is nowhere to turn, especially when complaints are ignored or not resolved.

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 simplified the process of resolving consumer issues and it important for people to understand their rights and options.  At ORJ our specialist solicitors can help.

It may be that a strong letter from ORJ can resolve the issue. On the other hand the only option may be to begin Court proceedings.  Our specialist solicitors will help you to resolve your issue in the most effective way.

We can assist you by;

  • Reviewing your contract and advising on any terms and conditions
  • Advising on your claim’s prospect of success
  • Discussing litigation funding
  • Corresponding with the other party
  • Representing you at a mediation
  • Issuing Court proceedings

If you believe that you have suffered a breach of your consumer rights, or that a contract you have entered has been breached, it is important to seek advice as soon as possible.  There may be time limits, either set by statute or within an agreement, which need to be complied with.

At ORJ we can offer an initial consultation without obligation.
