ORJ wins new client.
Categories: Commercial LitigationORJ wins new client: The Stafford based law firm has been instructed by one of the country’s largest independent travel companies, in place of city firm Penningtons to defend a claim valued by the claimants at £13.5M.
The case is already issued but following an adverse interlocutory hearing, the company decided it was time to seek ORJ’s specialist guidance.
ORJ’s Managing Partner Patrick Tedstone said: “We already knew the business and they knew us after we had successfully helped with them with an intellectual property problem. We were asked to look at the papers and to keep a watching brief. When things went wrong we were asked to take control of the defence of the action. The learning curve was vertical as we took delivery of approximately 78,000 documents on day one but it is a rewarding instruction and we aim to help deliver a positive result.”
