No-Fault Divorce

End your marriage amicably without having to place blame on either party.

We’re Committed to Supporting You!

Divorce doesn’t have to be full of animosity and arguments – and it doesn’t have to cost the earth, either.

Here at ORJ Law, we understand that the end of any marriage is a difficult time. However, since landmark reforms introduced no-fault divorce in 2022, the process is simpler and can be less confrontational.

We are pleased to offer the fixed fee no-fault divorce service and we promise:

  • A clear and transparent fixed-fee service
  • Experienced and compassionate family law experts
  • Efficiency and support

Our expert team of experienced family lawyers based in Telford, Shrewsbury and Stafford are committed to helping people find an effective solution when they make the emotional decision to separate.

Our Fees

No-fault divorce helps make the process as smooth and straightforward as possible. Our fixed fees of just £450 plus VAT for applicants (the person applying for divorce) plus the court fee of £593, or £200 plus VAT for respondents (the other party in the divorce) offer clarity.

    What is a no-fault divorce?

A no-fault divorce allows you to end your marriage without blame being placed on either party. This means you no longer have to prove adultery, unreasonable behaviour, or any other fault grounds, which can often make the process more stressful and contentious. Instead, you simply need to confirm that your relationship has irretrievably broken down.

Since the introduction of no-fault divorce laws in April 2022, divorces in England and Wales have become less stressful, and more amicable, without the need to engage in any conflict or blame.

What are the benefits of a no-fault divorce?

This solution is not suitable for everyone.

However, when separating couples have already reached an agreement over key issues such as finances and child arrangements, this highly cost-effective option can be implemented to bring the relationship to a legal conclusion.

Less paperwork, fewer meetings and, crucially, no court appearance.

    Child and Financial Arrangements

While the no-fault divorce process itself is straightforward, if you need to make decisions regarding either child arrangements or financial arrangements, these are dealt with separately. Our expert team is here to assist you with any additional matters related to your divorce, ensuring that the best interests of your children and your financial well-being are protected.
