ORJ strengthens team with double hire

We’ve strengthened the ORJ team with the appointment of two up-and-coming legal professionals. Rhiannon Appleby has joined our Corporate team, while Hollie Ward is the newest member of our Commercial Litigation department.

Hollie, 26 and of Staffordshire, completed her undergraduate law degree in 2020 at Aston University before completing her Legal Practice Course (LPC) at BPP Birmingham.

She joins from Eversheds and is due to embark on a two-year training contract. Hollie, a keen guitarist, said: “I’m delighted to be part of the ORJ team. I did my research before joining and it is clear that it is a forward-thinking, ambitious firm with lots of exciting work both live and in the pipeline.

“I am working under the guidance of Patrick Tedstone, who has almost 25 years of experience. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from someone with that level of knowledge and experience.”

Rhiannon, who lives in Bishop’s Wood in Staffordshire, joined ORJ in August having graduated from Bournemouth University with a first-class honours degree in Law while working at Lester Aldridge.

The 22-year-old is currently studying her LPC at Staffordshire University while in our Stafford office.

“I’m really enjoying my work,” said Rhiannon. “Everyone is very supportive and knowledgeable. People are willing to support you when needed and also trust you with responsibility when appropriate.

“I enjoy the fact that very transaction is different. We have a busy corporate team dealing with both small and large businesses and some niche businesses as well.”

Rhiannon has recently rediscovered her love of ice skating after a 10-year hiatus from the rink. Patrick Tedstone, CEO at ORJ, said both women have a bright future ahead.

“I am delighted to strength our team by introducing Hollie and Rhiannon to our Stafford office,” he added.

“Both have worked hard to obtain their law degrees and are now pushing on with the next step in their careers. I am pleased they have decided to do that with ORJ and our team of highly-experienced lawyers will support them in any way that they can.”
